Canada has more Intelligent Communities than any other nation. Over the past 16 years, 21 Canadian communities have received this designation from the Intelligent Community Forum. For 2014, the Smart21 semi-final list of communities is lead by six Canadian centres. Lou Zacharilla, Co-Founder of the  Intelligent Community Forum, examines why the Canadian cities were chosen.
